KCPC Youth Starts 2016-17 in a BIG WAY!!!!!!!!!!

Youth Groups meet  two Sunday Evenings each month, 5:30-7:00 p.m. during the School Year,  (we do not meet on Sundays when the Kearsarge School District has a holiday).

We gather in Foulkes Hall, have a meal, and then meet separately for faith learning or service activities.
Each night includes, fun, games, fellowship, faith discovery, and prayer.

We welcome all members, their friends, and others who would like to participate.  For more information about our groups, or what to do as the meal volunteer, please scroll down the page.

2014 KCPC Youth Group Yard Sale  Commercials: Recorded May 18th

Each short video is the creation of KCPC youth members.  They were asked to find items donated to the Yard Sale and create a "commercial."  None were rehearsed and there was only one "take."  Enjoy!

If You are Cooking this Week for KCPC's Youth Meeting

We have been having an average of (at least) 15-20 kids with their adult leaders each week.  It's best to plan for more, than less :)  Simple is fine - they like classic "kid meals" - spaghetti, mac and cheese, chili, tacos, meatballs, pizzas etc.  Desserts that are simple - brownies, cupcakes, cookies, even ice cream bars are wonderful as well.
- We have paper products, cups, and utensils here.
- I currently have both Italian and ranch salad dressings in the refrigerator.
- Please supply drinks - soda, juice , milk all welcome.
- We occasionally have kids with gluten allergies - so salads are always welcome.  We do have someone with a peanut allergy.
- It's a great help when the "chef family" comes to set up, serve, join us, and then clean up after us.  This enables the youth leaders to interact with our respective groups.
- Teens do eat a lot - but the focus of the meal is the conversation, laughter, and fellowship during the meal which is the most important.

Middle School Youth (MSYG)

Middle School Youth Group (MSYG) is for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. 

Youth Program Staff: Adult Volunteers

The Youth Ministry Program is staffed exclusively by adults volunteering their time and energy to make certain the program is well run, overseen, supervised, and maintained.  They give many hours each month.  They include:

• Roberta Hollinger, emphasis on Service
• Lucy Mennona, emphasis on Fellowship
• Bob Merrill, emphasis on Faith Formation
• Missy Owen, emphasis on Youth Instrumentalists

High School Youth (SHYG)

Senior High Youth Group (SHYG) is for students in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades.

Parents of Youth: Volunteer Opportunities

The Volunteer Program Staff rely upon parents to support them in their efforts to provide a quality weekly program.  The primary means parents can do so is by encouraging regular attendance and providing timely transportation to and from our meetings, service projects, activities, and events.  If assistance with transportation is needed, please contact one of the Program Staff.

Dinner is a key ingredient in the success of our weekly meetings.  Parents volunteer to prepare, serve, and cleanup after each meal.  Generally, twice a school year is all a family needs to provide a meal.  Parent Mindy Maville coordinates the schedule.  Look for her emails as she builds a schedule and encourages participation.

Other Opportunities include: Service projects, special worship presentations, hosting or coordinating special events, fund raising activities.
