The pre-COVID-19 Sermons for Year A:
The Revised Common Lectionary Videos for Year A
From the beginning of December 2019 until Thanksgiving of 2020, KCPC was on a Biblical adventure as our worship and preaching was guided by the Revised Common Lectionary (Year A), and occasionally by passages which are not found in other years or the lectionary. Our primary Gospel during this year was Matthew.
However, by the beginning of March, it began to become clear that our world was entering a time of pandemic as a new coronavirus was identified in China and became known as COVID-19. Pastor Bob was planning to begin his first ever sabbatical after worship ended on March 15, 2020. Retired pastor and Navy Chaplain, Tom Atkins was to be the primary supply pastor from this point until June 30th. Due to the pandemic worship services were canceled for the remainder of March. Virtual Services began in April, 2020.

# On January 19th, we worshipped in Foulkes Hall, a first in the history of KCPC, due to the renovation of our pews. As can be seen, the first three chapters of First Corinthians became the focus of Pastor Bob's preaching during this winter season. In order to keep the continuity, he modified some of the Lectionary readings and did not follow the Lectionary at the end of the season. As Lent began he preached from Chapter 4 (see above).

The Season of Lent
March 2020
Please Note: Readings marked "+" do not follow and readings marked with "*" modify the suggested lesson by The Revised Common Lectionary. The Lectionary was not followed for Lent 2A and 3A in order to continue the preaching series from the opening chapters of First Corinthians, which was begun in mid January (see below). Beginning on March 16 through June 30, 2020, Pastor Bob is on sabbatical. During this time few if any sermon videos will be posted. Thank you for your patience until his return in July.
