Mustard Seed Planned Giving Program

The KCPC Planned Giving Committee is re-invigorating the planned giving program at our church, called the Mustard Seed Society.

Picture

Since our founding in the 1980s, KCPC has been a self-sustaining congregation, meeting annual operation expenses through the annual pledges of members.   Meanwhile through planned giving funds-generally gifts left in an estate or will, or special gifts outside of pledge payments-we have been able to support:
  • The complete set of handbells.
  • The grand piano in the sanctuary.
  • The audio-visual equipment for high-quality live-streaming of worship services.
  • Energy efficient windows for the sanctuary.
  • Dozens of scholarships for high school students furthering their education.
While there are many ways to give, there is no minimum for giving and each gift is a blessing which through careful stewardship can be multiplied in blessings-thus our reference to the parable of Jesus and the mustard seed.
If you would like to give a planned gift or would like more information about how to set up a special gift, contact Maria in the office or one of the planned giving committee members:  Anne Holmes, Polly and Don Wright, Cheryl Swensen or Sara Scheuch.   All gift conversations are confidential.
We are pleased to announce the first gift this year to the Mustard Seed Society.   Jane Hollinger left an unrestricted gift in her will to KCPC.   We are grateful to Jane for her vision and thoughtfulness.   Check out the attached video of Jeff and Dave talking about why KCPC meant so much to Jane and Andy Hollinger.
