![]() June Poliseno has faithfully served Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church since 1996. When she started as the second Church Secretary hired by KCPC, she worked just a few days and a handful of hours each week. As our congregation grew, her responsibilities and hours expanded. The position also changed and her title was changed to Office Manager to reflect the multifaceted way in which she has served our church. This was more than just a job. June lived into the changing nature of this position as it evolved over the years. In the beginning the job included preparing the weekly and special bulletins, the church news letter, maintaining the membership directory, and answering the phone, among other things. As the Church grew, so did her position. While these basic responsibilities continued, the complexity of the job grew. Typewriter, phones, fax machine, and copier, have given way to email, website maintenance, voice mail, Quickbooks, computers, multifunction printers, and automated payroll. She handles our property management, facilities coordination, outside groups, ordering supplies, emergency plumbing, heating and electrical work (well maybe not wiring but bulb changing)! During her time with us the building doubled in size, services doubled, and outside groups using our building at least quadrupled! Through all these changes, her office location has moved at least 3 times, including a short stint in the Choir Music Closet during the construction of 2003-2004. June's service has been a ministry. Before she was hired in 1996, June served two other congregations in Kentucky for 20 years. So for 36 years she has labored in Christ's Church, providing for a ministry of administration, support, encouragement, problem solving, and coordination, just to name a few adjectives which describe this ministry. I know she has ministered to me in ways too numerous to mention in one place! I invite you to share your best wishes to June. Post your comments (click on "Comment" below "Tweet" and type in "Leave a Reply."), your good wishes, and your stories about how June served and ministered to you during her long career in both our congregation and in Christ's Church universal! Hi June - thank you for your incredible dedication and service to KCPC during the past 16 years. Hard to imagine how fast that timespan has passed. You have been a great help to me as somewhat of a "rookie" on Session matters, and I have appreciated your guidance and thoughtfulness. I know you'll thoroughly enjoy the next stage of your journey.

Our Dear June, What can we say! It has been so wonderful getting to work with you all these years. You truly were a beacon of light for our church as you kept so many of the essentials on course. You gave those of us who worked closely with you the inspiration to get things done as we followed your example. The Lord will bless you and Tom, for you have truly been his good and faithful servants. Now get out there and enjoy your well deserved retirement. Our love and best wishes go with you. Thanks to all at KCPC for giving my sister a warm and loving send-off as she begins her retirement. Her faith-filled dedication to church ministries throughout her life is a fine example for each one of us. To all at KCPC I would say, "May the Lord bless you and keep you, let His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, look upon you kindly and give you peace."
