I believe that God the almighty created all that is now. His doings are great, sacrificing his only Son for us to have eternal life.
I thank God for watching over me and giving me a path to follow. I ask the Lord to give me the courage and strength to help others and to spread his word. I hope that this painting can be a good start. In this painting is our solar system with heaven on a set of clouds, that you can only reach after living a life following the Lord and his Son. God's creation of our beautiful solar system and world can only be created from a beautiful place, and I imagine Heaven being peaceful and colorful, which I try to represent in this painting.
I am thankful that the Lord will forgive my sins and the sins of others, so that we may join him in heaven one day.
In every religion, there is always a superior force. No matter if one is Hebrew, Muslim, Christian or Jewish, most humans feel that there is a higher, superior, and greater power than us. For us Presbyterians, it is God.
But we are not comfortable with feeling this way. We have gotten accustomed to being on top of the food chain, being superior to all. We are used to having an answer to every question we think of, and to be able to figure it out by ourselves. But sometimes it can’t be that way. Like a child and candy. The child wants the big chocolate bar in the window, but the mom says no, because it is not good for the child.
In our situation, God is the mom and we are the child. Sometimes God has to intervene and say no. Some things are supposed to be left a secret from us. We aren’t supposed to understand how certain things work, because God doesn’t want it that way. Our brains can’t comprehend why some things happen a certain way. We just need to accept it.
We might never completely understand why bad things happen to us, whether your dog just passed away, or your day wasn’t the best. For every one of us, God has a plan. And when that plan is finally complete, we will end with something beautiful. We will reunite with old friends, have happy thoughts, be in unity, and be in eternal life with God, our one and only eternal Father.
